Bringing military women closer together through singing

The Yeovilton Military Wives Choir formed in September 2012 as a result of the outstanding success of the original Military Wives Choirs from Chivenor and Plymouth, made famous through the BBC TV programme with Gareth Malone. The Yeovilton Military Wives Choir now has over 50 members who meet weekly in Ilchester to have fun, rehearse together and provide mutual support as they deal with the challenges of Service life.

Home For Christmas

The Military Wives Choirs have recorded a new album for this Christmas titled, Home For Christmas.

This album is the Foundation's biggest project to date with 65 choirs taking part in the recording of the album & 1006 choir members singing on it. The title track, Home For Christmas, is a reworked version of Hark The Herald Angels Sing worded to reflect what Christmas means in military life. There are also six other updated versions of Christmas carols which to show what Christmas is to Miltary families.

The album is released on Friday 25th November with the single of the same name being released on Friday 2nd December.

You can pre-order yours from Amazon by clicking the button below or you can download it from iTunes from the date of release. It will also be available from HMV, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons & selected WH Smith stores. Please help us to make it to the Christmas number 1 #HomeForChristmas

Come and sing with us

Yeovilton Military Wives Choir was set up to bring women in the military community closer together through singing. There are no auditions required and no need to read music. All you need is a military connection.

Wow! Well where to being with this year so far? We are fast approaching our third birthday which we plan to celebrate in style & we still have some amazing concerts to look forward to. We have already had some outstanding performances and lots of laughter along the way. We kicked the year off to a wonderful start with our second guest performance at the Octagon Theatre, we appeared (almost) with Russell Watson & are looking forweard to our rescheduled concert. We had a summer of singing at the Somerton Music & Arts Festival, the concert for SSAFA with Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir, the first Yeovil Marathon, our third consecutive performance on home turf for Yeovilton Air Day & finished the summer with a fabulous concert with Britain's Got Talent 2014 winners Collabro. We have more exciting concerts coming up for Autumn & Winter including our first own concert in January!  More information can be found on our News page.
