A happy customer enjoying the singing

Asda Fundraising

Published: June, 2015

A sunny Saturday afternoon saw us giving our first performance at Asda in Yeovil, to celebrate and support Armed Forces Day. Asda did a great job placing us in a prime spot by the entrance, with flags and badges to promote this special day.

We received an enthusiastic welcome from both staff and customers, some of whom took a little longer than planned to do their weekly shop! One of our favourite songs, Tipperary, saw a pause around the fruit and vegetable aisle, as trolleys halted and baskets were put down and customers stopped to join in with these popular World War 2 songs, along with lots of flag waving from the choir!

We received some fantastic compliments and had booking enquireies too.

Our generous audience contributed  £207.76.
Thank you to everyone involved, it was a fun way to spend the afternoon and to raise some much needed funds.
