Singing For Our Supper

Published: May, 2015

The Military Wives Choirs Foundation is a huge and important part of all of the Military Wives Choirs. Without there help & support, the choirs would not be able to function as effectively as they do or have the opportunities that come with being part of the Foundation.

To help give something back to this organisation that supports us & helps us to have the opportunity to meet up & sing together as well as so much more, we held to charity events in one week under the heading of 'Singing for our Supper'.

The first was a local coffee morning in Ilchester Town Hall where we served tea, coffee, savouries & cakes to the public as well as giving them a little taste of our singing.

The second was singing in the food court section of Clark's Village in Street where we sang several sets between 11am & 3pm to the shoppers who had braved the weather for the day. We also had a little help from some of the ladies from Taunton Choir which we appreciated greatly.

Between the two events, we managed to raise over £750!!

Well done to all involved.
